Download Meal Prep SHeet

Use this prep sheet to plan out meals for your writer while they are away as well as for those of you still at home!

Purchase Hotels.com
Gift card

Unless you know exactly what hotel your writer would prefer for this getaway, I would highly suggest a gift card from hotels.com that your writer can use to select the hotel they think would be most conducive for creative work.

Purchase VRBO
Gift card

Would a vacation rental in the woods or on a lake be more the vibe your writer needs for creativity? Then a VRBO gift card is the way to go!

Create a Care Package

I’ve assembled some items below that I think would be a great addition to a writing weekend care package. The idea of the care package is to provide inspiration, comfort, and energy.

Travel Blanket

Having a throw to put over your lap as you write helps take off the chill of a hotel room or coffee shop. And the fact that it can be folded up and stored in a bag is a huge plus!

Yeti Insulated Mug

When a writer gets in the zone, sometimes they forget everything else, which is why having an insulated mug is awesome! Their coffee or tea stays hot while their fingers are hot on the keyboard!

Literary-themed Tea

Does your writer sip hot tea while they are writing? Then these literary-themed tea bags will be perfect for their writing weekend.

Post-it Notes

Solves two problems: 1) having to get up frequently to refill the tiny glasses at the hotel and 2) getting dehydrated when your writer gets sucked into their work and forgets to refill their cup!

Notebook

Your writer will need a place to jot down notes, questions, and thoughts as they work over the weekend. What better than to give them an inspirational notebook to capture those down?

Pens

These are legit the best pens out there. They glide so easily over the page, it’s like heaven to the writer’s hand!

Water Bottle

Solves two problems: 1) having to get up frequently to refill the tiny glasses at the hotel and 2) getting dehydrated because your writer gets sucked into their work and forgets to refill their cup!

Skinny Pop

This light snack is individually wrapped so your writer doesn’t have to worry about chip-clips to keep the contents fresh or about the temptation to eat the whole bag!

Trail Mix

This combo of delicious salty sweetness is the stuff of snack lore! (See that play on words there?)
